Title: Why does the Q factor reduce as we move away from the resonant frequency? Post by Venky_analog on Feb 3rd, 2016, 6:01pm I am not able to understand why the Quality factor reduces as we move away from the resonance frequency for any LC oscillator. |
Title: Re: Why does the Q factor reduce as we move away from the resonant frequency? Post by cheap_salary on Feb 6th, 2016, 1:46am See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Q_factor Q is the ratio of the energy stored in the oscillating resonator to the energy dissipated per cycle by damping processes. |
