Title: Quality of Verilog $dist functions
Post by Geoffrey_Coram on Jan 12th, 2017, 11:56am

I was reviewing the C code provided in the Verilog language reference manuals (1364-2005 and 1800-2012) for the probabilistic distribution functions: $dist_normal, $dist_uniform, etc.

Does anyone know how "good" they are?  Do they pass the "Diehard tests" ? (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diehard_tests)
