Title: Oscillator for PLL
Post by braas on Feb 13th, 2017, 7:47am

I need an oscillator for a PPL circuit. In the search for the right component, I noticed the different output buffer types. Does anyone have experience with oscillators? I would like to operate the LTC6948 with 100MHz.

What type of signal can I use? (CMOS, HCSL, HCMOS, TTL, PECL, LVDS, etc.)
What are the advantages of each type?
Do I have to consider anything (resistance, load current)?

Thank you for your efforts
