Title: Comparing gain in two frequency bands. Post by sandman on Feb 19th, 2018, 5:53am Hi, I wonder if there is anyone on this forum who could help with ideas! I am looking to implement a 'detector' that compares gain in two frequency bands Band1 (= KHz to 2 GHz) and Band2 (=2.5GHz upto 8 GHz) and determine if the gain is flat, or roughly the same in both bands. If the gain in one band is higher than the other, a 'control-loop' responds to improve gain flatness, versus frequency. The 'control-loop' bit is relatively simple. In theory, this can be done by comparing 'power' or energy in the two bands after appropriately band-pass filtering the signal and comparing the two. But I'm looking for a more elegant solution! I would gladly appreciate any suggestions! Thanks in advance. cheers. |
