Title: Is there a way to get pnoise with sub-sampled jitter Post by iVenky on May 5th, 2020, 11:35pm I have a fclk signal, and I simulated the pnoise based on threshold crossings (Edge phase noise in Spectre RF). I want to see the effect of foldback after an ideal divider (divide by 2). In order to do that, instead of having a divider in the bench, I was thinking if I could just sub-sample the sampled jitter that was obtained based on threshold crossings and then plot the pnoise for that sub-sampled jitter (that would correspond to a fclk/2 clk). Is there a way to do that in Spectre RF? |
Title: Re: Is there a way to get pnoise with sub-sampled jitter Post by Andrew Beckett on May 12th, 2020, 12:09am You could just set the PSS fundamental to fclk/2 - then the sampler in the sampled pnoise analysis will be operating at fclk/2 (assuming I've understood what you're asking). Andrew |
