This is a full-time, onsite permanant position.
Location:  Seattle, WA

Impinj's Applications Engineers will be key players in the Impinj's success by ensuring customers' success with their RFID initiatives. Responsibilities will include the following:

Demonstrate the market-leading performance of Impinj's RFID products to potential customers and partners.

Work closely with customers and partners to design customers' RFID pilots.

Install RFID systems and optimize performance.

Develop high-performance demonstrations and necessary application hardware and software.

Represent customers' interests to sales, marketing, design, and manufacturing groups.

Develop expertise on Impinj and competitive products in various applications' environments.

Build knowledge base on the key applications for Impinj's RFID products.

Benchmark products against competing parts.

Provide training and ongoing technical support.

Generate and maintain product application notes, product data sheets, and other documentation.

Prepare and deliver presentations.

Required Skills:
BSEE or related and 10+ years experience in a field applications engineering, product applications engineering, RF engineering, software engineering, or related role, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Prior lead or management experience in a similar role.

Extensive experience with, and knowledge of, RF and wireless communication products, including ability to troubleshoot software, RF, propagation, and antenna issues.

Ability to understand system architecture, and to test and debug field problems.

Practical knowledge of common IC test equipment.

Outstanding written and verbal communication in English, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Willingness and ability to travel a minimum of 30% of the time, including international travel.

Compensation: competitive hourly rate
