If you have access to spectre, you can also use PSS, which accelerates the settling - so you don't have to output the signal all the time it's settling.
Or you could use envelope (envlp) analysis in oscillator mode (added in MMSIM60 USR1) which allows you to skip cycles whilst the oscillator is settling, and see the settling behaviour of the oscillator (PSS would just allow you to see the final settled steady state).
