Synchronous Buck Converter
Mar 01st, 2006, 10:55am

Hello,
I would like to know much more about the  design aspects of a  Synchronous Buck regulator,as to how to different is it from a regular  Buck apart from the topology- Could not find enough design resources online.Any suggested reading material,IEEE Transaction papers,EDN design ideas would be of great help to this novice!.

Thanks in advance.

I recall that Unitrode used to publish some powerful application notes on how to use their chips..
try looking on their website.

I see they are part of TI now.. the appnotes are there..
Also Virginia Polytechnic Institude (Blacksburg, VA) used to run an annual conference on DC-DC design.. might look for papers/articles co-authored by Fred C. Lee..
