Monte carlo analysis : negative "correlation" ??
Jul 13th, 2006, 4:30am

Hi all,
Why there is a range of  [-1,1] for "correlation" in statistic statements for Monte carlo analysis? Since we say correlation 1 means ideal matching and 0 means no matching at all, what is the usage of correlation -1?

-1 implies perfect correlation, but in the opposite direction (if one goes up the other goes down).
