slew rate and transistion time
Jan 04th, 2007, 2:21am

Hi,
In some product, especiall the interface circuit  it gives the transistion time(rise/fall time) spec, some gives the slew rate spec, and some gives them both.

As my understanding, they descrbe the same things. So,would anyone pls. explains to me in what cases to define them in the spec?

Thanks

slew rate is expressed in V/s and in case of amplifiers, one has to specify the i/p (sine wave Vpp, freq etc..)
and the the O/P load. In case of I/Os we just need to know the supply voltage and o/p load, when talking of rise/fall times.
