PSP model in spectre
May 04th, 2007, 4:11pm

Hi,

When I use PSP model, I found that it will never give me breakdown warning even I biased the transistor at breakdown voltage, for example 2kV. Is this true for spectre while simulating with PSP model? Is there anybody having experiences with PSP model? The version I use for spectre is 6.1.1 11/20/2006.

Sincerely,

I don't think the breakdown warning is part of the "standard" PSP (nor BSIM3/4); it must be something that Cadence adds to the source code.  They may not have added it yet to PSP.

If at first you do succeed, STOP, raise your standards, and stop wasting your time.
