THD Simulation for fully differential circuit
Sep 17th, 2007, 5:42am

Hi,
I want to characterize a fully differential DDA programmable gain amplifier for its THD. The feedback is continuous time resistive feedback.
Can any one help me with the method of simulating THD for this PGA? I am using Spectre.

Thanks
Packiaraj.V.

Hi Packiaraj,
You can use either an instance of Spectre's built-in device fourier or run a DFT on your output; if you want to use the DFT you need to carefully control the simulator to enforce equidistant synchronized sampling.
Hope this helps
