Error in iPar in Spectre
Aug 27th, 2008, 12:01pm

I "randomly" get the following message in Spectre:

"Function 'iPar' is undefined or is used recursively"

My simulations run properly most of the times but sometimes all of a sudden this message shows up and interrupts my simulations. I think it has to do with the way spectre compiles the netlist. When it gives the error it does not replace the iPar() with its corresponding values. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks,

SiV_D,

iPar is used in the Analog Design Environment to allow one device
parameters to be used in the definition of another device parameter.
If iPar is being passed to Spectre, then there is an issue in the
parameter CDF.  Unlike a design variable the iPar value should be resolved before it is passed to Spectre.
