Filter Needed...
Nov 20th, 2009, 4:41am

I have 2 HP-Agilent E5052A Signal Source Analyzers that are used to  measure all of the parameters of the VCO's that we design. Here is the problem: The units have both the source (Vcc) (0-30vdc) and the Tuning Voltage ports (-30 - +30vdc). I have undesirable noise that is generated with the test power between 60Hz & 1KHz that I want to filter out. Can anyone provide a schematic for a GOOD filter that I can place in the line (series) of the DC output BNC connectors? Max current used is about 200mA, 20mA typical. The noise shows up in all the test results, including phase noise. Should be able to be done with a few caps & coils.
Thanks,
Don
