Free access to classic texts on IEEE Xplore
Jun 08th, 2010, 2:07am

I don't think that I am the first to have noticed it (especially since it's already months since the offer is available), but it seems that IEEE Xplore has gone in the right direction for once and made available several classic textbooks in ebook format for free to all IEEE members.

If you log on to IEEE Xplore and click on the "books" tab, then you can browse through a list of texts, all of which may be downloaded as PDFs (chapter by chapter).

The best bit are the classics which contain among other texts the PLL textbook edited by Razavi, the yellow book on delta-sigma modulators by Norsworthy, Schreier, Temes etc. Apparently, these are texts from the Wiley-IEEE press, and so you would not find books from other publishers.

Yeah, I passed it by, because I thought they would *never* give away "good" books!!!!

Maybe it is time to re-consider.
