how to solve convergence problem in spectre's transient analysis ?
Jun 25th, 2010, 1:20am

Hello, I am a rookie in spectre...
When I run the transient analysis, it shows.:

Warning from spectre at time = 45.361914483 ns during transient analysis
       `transient1', during task `MDLControl'.
WARNING (SPECTRE-16266): Convergence difficulties resulted in error
       requirements being unsatisfied.
Further occurrences of this warning will be suppressed.

How should I solve this issue ?
Thank you,,

1) fix your circuit
2) fix your models
3) fix your tolerances

Pick one.  It's hard for us to guess which one is more likely from what you wrote.

In addition to the points Geoffrey made, you could also try to use the 64-bit version of Spectre. Simply select the option under Setup -> Environment in ADE.
