Eye-opening using Cadence Calculator
Sep 10th, 2011, 7:53am

Dear all,
I wanted to find eye-opening and eye-width using ideal components in from ahdlLib, analogLib, bmslib and/or calculator functions. I am using IC5141.

Basically, I have to plot histogram of eye-opening (difference between weak '1' and weak '0' at the best sampling time of the received signal) in Monte Carlo simulations. The best sampling time does not change much for mismatch only analysis.  I would prefer to use GUI of cadence statistical analysis.  For that I have to given an expression for eye-opening in calculator.

I tried to use eye_opening_checker of bmslib but it gave some error and I could not solve that error.

Is there any way we can measure eye-opening using ideal components and calculator functions?

Thanks
-CA

CMOS,

Have you filed a Service Request for the eye opening meter? This
functionality is supported in IC615 ViVA. The good news is that wave-
form viewing is not really version dependent so you can use VIVA
to analyze IC5141 simulation results.

                                                               Best Regards,

                                                                 Sheldon
