Hello all,
I was lately interested in magnetotransistor (MT) technology as an alternative to integrated vertical hall plates for detecting magnetic field, and noticed literature was slowly diminishing in the last years compared to what was investigated about 10-15 years ago. I know hall plates technology is cheaper and most commercial products use them, but I was wondering if anybody knows the actual reasons behind the failure of MTs as a commercial technology, if that statement is true (at least I do not know of any commercial magnetic sensor using MTs). In case what I'm suggesting is not true, is there any new (less than 10 years old) publications showing some progress on the field?
Any documentation you can point me to will be highly appreciated. Many thanks
Tosei
