Virtuoso AMS: ERROR
Apr 05th, 2012, 6:58am

Hi all!

Does anyone have an idea about the following error message from Virtuoso AMS? Any help would be really useful.

"*Error* hnlPrintString: argument #1 should be a string (type template = "tg") - nil"

Cheers

Did you try turning on the stacktrace to see where the function is called from?

Hi

Thank you for your reply. How can I turn-on the stack-trace?

Cheers

OK, just figured it out (using the SKILL Debugger)

The error message, if the SKILL Debugger is turned-on:
"*Error* hnlPrintString: argument #1 should be a string (type template = "tg") at line 165 of file ".../6.1.5.500.8/tools.lnx86/dfII/etc/skill/hnl/verilog.ile" - nil"

That looks like a compiled file to me, but now you can tell Cadence that the glitch comes from their file.
