Open source tools for AMS simulation

Anyone knows any open source tool that supports Verilog-AMS?
I already looked into Qucs software, but they translate Verilog-AMS into C or C++, what is actually not ideal.

Most commercial simulators convert Verilog-AMS into C/C++ code and then run a C compiler to generate a shared library to link. Why is this not ideal for you?
