ADC distortion cancellation

Hi,
I am capturing 16-bits ADC output data. Is there anyway we can cancel ADC distortion on the ADC output data? basically removing the distortion from the output data and improve the linearity of the ADC?
thanks

Do you know the input already?
If not it depends on what kind of architecture it is and if it has dither.
Some of the latest high speed ADC try to infer the non-linearity from dither histogram
