Inverter Design with TSMC cmos18 techlib
Aug 04th, 2004, 1:33pm

Hi,

I tried to simulate an inverter which is design with tsmc coms0.18 technology.  The input is voltage pulse source.  The simulator I chose was spectre.  The results look strange (the output is high all the time no matter what the input voltage is?)

I am wondering if I should choose any other simulator insteasd of spectre?

Thanks

Fei

Did you remember to wire the power and ground up properly?

Just changing the simulator is unlikely to help - it may possibly be a design kit/model problem, but much more likely is a circuit configuration problem, in which case you'll have trouble no matter what the simulator you use.

Andrew.

I guess that is an error in your netlist.  :)

You should check the netlist first when an error comes up.  I think more than 90% curious phenomenan occuring in simulation is due to wrong design. Smiley
