How to Transfer Design Files Between computers
Jan 15th, 2005, 7:41am

I am wondering how can I transfer Cadence designs (including schematics, layout etc.) from one computer (linux system, under directory /home/ddd/) to another computer (unix systerm, under directory /usr/ddd/)?
When I copy the whole directoy directly and modify cds.lib file, I can open all the file, but some saved Spectre simulation states are gone.
Thank you.

I think you copied the whole lot, except of the specific .artist_states directory contents. You can find it in your home directory.

Thank you. Yes. It works sometime. But sometime some layerout can only be opened as read only.

Just a shot in the dark: have you checked the permissions of the copied content (ls -l)?

I have checked. Every file is drwxrwxrwx.
