I find VerilogAMS very very useful for my Lexmark spread spectrum option on the PLLs.

And so far, I observed matching results after tapeout. And smooth switching algorithms can very easily be developed in a mixed mode sim environment.

I can't imagine how hard a designer's life could be without the behavioral analog models )
