How to remove the time stamp in wavescan plot?
Sep 29th, 2005, 7:30pm

Can anyone please advise how to remove the time stamp in the wavescan plot? I found sometimes it's annoying especially when the figure is prepared for publication purpose.

Thanks,

Eric

P.S.: Also, even if I choose the "bold" and "large" for the font size in the plot, it still turns out all the fonts appear very small when the figure is inserted into the report. Any work around for this? Thanks again!

In the File->Print form, there is an annotations tab. You can turn off the date stamps etc from there. At least since IC5141 USR2 - I checked in an early IC5141 version and all the settings there were greyed out.

Perhaps the font problem is also resolved in a later version?
It seems OK in versions I've used recently...

Regards,

Andrew.

Thank you, Andrew. Actually I did try that before - but somehow the annotations tab is grey. I couldn't change it.

Eric,

What subversion are you using? Perhaps you're seeing the
same problem I was seeing in an earlier version?

Andrew.

Hi Andrew, I'm using 5.10.41.169. Could you advise a workaround for this? It's really a hassle to put the simulation figure into a paper for publication...
Thank you again!
Eric

Does wavescan use the same .cdsplotinit for the printing setup? All the ps files generated by "print" in wavescan are missing bounding box, which makes them incapable to be used directly for latex.

Hi Eric,

Ah, you're using the initial version with ADE (IC5141 Base release). I'd really recommend using IC5141 USR2 or later, as wavescan has had lots of improvements since then. I also found that I didn't have control over the annotations in the version you're using.

I think wavescan does use cdsplotinit to find the PostScript printers, in later versions (at least when run from ADE). Not sure about the bbox problem though - but it wouldn't surprise me if this had been fixed too.

Regards,

Andrew.
