save operation region with spectre?
Nov 04th, 2005, 5:20pm

Hi guys, with spectre I tried to save the operation region of a MOS transistor using following statement:

save M1:region

However, spectre complained that "region" is an invalid parameter and ignored the statement. The "region" parameter is indeed listed as one of the operating-point parameters for BSIM3v3 model in spectre documentation. I tried several other op-point parameters such as gm and vth, and spectre worked well.

So how can I save the operation region ONLY? Any help is appreciated, thanks a lot!

I am not shure but if you type

spectre -help bsim3v3

you will get a list of model/instance/op parameter. You have to possible use another syntax.

I just tried this, and you're right. It doesn't work. I found PCR 697454 which suggested it was fixed in MMSIM60 - but it doesn't seem to be when I tried it.

I'll check why not...

Andrew.
