question on the jitter analysis for limiting amp
Feb 06th, 2006, 1:39am

hi,
I am designing a limiting amplifier for optical receivers. The input is 155Mbps 223 - 1 PRBS pattern. I want to know if can I use PSS+PHNOISE to analyisis its jitter characteristic?

If I use 0101..pattern, can I use PSS+PHNOISE to analyisis it? If so, first I get the phase noise and derive the jitter according the relationship between the phase noise and jitter. Can I do it?

Thanks

i think the use of 0101 to get a fixed pss fundamental, then the pnoise should work fine...
