leakage current modeling

Hi,

Can anyone comment on the accuracy of spice model in terms of leakage/dark current?

I got an unrealistic leakage current for a tiny diode (3um by 3um) from simulation: 0.25V/ms.

Hi Sheldon,

It is not quite clear what dark current you got?   0.25V/ms ??? doesn't read like a current.

By the way, what temperature are you doing the measurement at? What parameters do you
need to provide in your diode definition?

I once had a problem when using some diodes as the area was set to a very large value by default in
the model. This was set to 100u (m^2) instead of 100p (m^2) for a 10u x 10u device by someone
who created the model in question and put all parameters in 'u' as default. I hope you don't have the
same issue.
