Can anyone explain why flicker noise only causes AM and thermal noise causes AM & PM. It may ultimately be a moot point because AM->PM due to AM-PM conversion but is still important to distinguidh between the two.
Also it seems strange that Hajimiri (who talks nothing about this conversion) still manages to get measured results which match his theory (which doesn't take into account AM->PM conversions)
