n2port file import
Sep 12th, 2006, 7:53am

Hi!
I have generated an S-parameter file from a tool in the format of '.dat'.
Using the 'n2port' instance in Cadence, i use this file.
I generate a response(Frequnecy versus Y-Parameter) i need in Cadence and it looks very
different from what the tool generates.

Does anyone knows why cadence does not just replicate
the response as it looks in the tool?
I could not find much information in the manuals about how this 'n2port'
instance actually interprets this '.dat' file, the header information and so on.

Thanks,
Vara

Try "spectre -h nport".

Ken,
Thank you very much for the command. I generally use the Cadence documentation
for help and i see that with this command, the information is much more coherent
and detailed.

Basic caution. One has to type 'spectre -h' in the same terminal
window where cadence is initiated.
