M O S vs. MOSS pronunciation (Read 5922 times)

Croaker Senior Member Offline Posts: 235	M O S vs. MOSS pronunciation Dec 12^th, 2006, 8:06am I've noticed that some people tend to say M O S (saying each letter) and others say Moss (like the plant). What is the most widely-accepted way to say it? I've been saying 'moss' all this time. The same people who say M O S will pronounce MOSFET as moss-fet.

I remember there was an article in IEEE Spectrum the last month or the one before. But I think "en-moss" is much easier to pronounce than N M O S. Imagine trying to say L A S E R or U N I C E F Regards Vivek
