How to do IIP2 & IIP3 for Direct Conversion Mixers
Dec 22nd, 2006, 9:52pm

Hello all,
I'm designing a Mixer at 400MHz for a direct conversion receiver. I need to do IIP3 and IIP2 analysis. I read the Spectre RF document and went thru the execise over there, tried to apply it my case Sweep PSS and PAC... Both the RF and LO are @ 400Mhz. The second tone is at 400.3Mhz. and the PAC indis is -1. However as I expected it didn't work. I didn't get a meaningful response. It seems the cadence explanation is good for non-zero IF conversion. I couldn't figure out how to do it for direct conversion receivers.

My bandwidth is 250 kHz with 50 kHz guard band. Namely there are 10 channels and the center of each channel is 300 kHz away from the adjacent one.

Could somebody explain me how to set the simulation environment for direct conversion?

Thanks in advance.

Regards

Swept PSS?

Perhaps you can tell us more about the experiment you tried and how you felt it went wrong. Maybe we can help you find a flaw in what you did.
