question about the connectRules
Mar 27th, 2007, 5:20pm

Hi,

Recently while I tried to simulate my circuit with AMS, I realized that I need 2 different voltage level in the digital domain, say, high swing and low swing. Not like spectreVerilog, I do not know how to assign different connect modules or rules to different A/D interfaces. Can anybody point out which document I should refer to? I read some of the help files, and was confused because it is said that the discipline will affect the connect rules.

Sincerely,

the discrete discipline determines the connect module used..
what I generally do is use 2 logic disciplines..  - (neither is "logic" because thats a reserved work in systemverilog)
so I use a cmos_logic15 for the core, and cmos_logic33 for the io
a pretty full description of different cml swing discipline types is described in a paper presented at BMAS in 2006, which lists example connect rules, and connect models I used recently..
