Extracing the jitter of the phase detector
Mar 30th, 2007, 9:20pm

Hi, all, I am trying to do the jitter predicting of my PLL.  According to Page 30th of "Predicting the Phase Noise and Jitter of PLL-based Frequency synthesizers", I did PSS/PNoise analysis in spectraRF, I got a PSS noise summary by highlight "integrated noise".
The question is :

Is the "total output noise"  var(n)  in equation (57)?

I am really lost there, any expert can give me some hints or some document to study on how to get var(n)? thanks in advance.

To make it clear,

the question is:

Is the "total output noise" from the PSS/PNoise summary equal to the  var(n)  in equation (57)?

Thanks,
