    I am just diving into digital communication system study. When evaluating the overall system performance of the digital communication systems, I found the ADC performance in the system is very difficult to underdand. For example, it's precision (conversion bits) and it's noise floor( i am not sure if this is also related to the precision), how it's performance( NF, dynamic range, etc) can affect the overall system performance to get a suitable SNR and thereby an acceptable BER after channel decoding?

   Can anyone help me?
