verilog-A limitations in Eldo
Aug 14th, 2007, 7:54am

Hello

Did somebody simulate verilog-A models with Eldo.
It seems that there are some limitations. I tried my testbench in Spectre and Eldo.
In Spectre it works perfectly, in Eldo - NOT.

This testbench includes verilog-A models of coil and generator of magnetic field.
Model of coil includes 4 ports - 2 electrical and 2 magnetic (please see the picture)

What could be the reason of this malfunction of Eldo. Is verilog-A is fully supported?
I tried coil model in separate testbench without generator of magnetic field.
Model seemed to work. So, the conclusion - in Eldo magnetic nature isn't supported?
But why there is no error during compilation?

Regards.

Pavel.

Maybe you should provide a bit more insight on how you implemented the spiral and the magnetic flow source.
What does the error message look like anyway ?
