How to start up quadrature vco
Oct 17th, 2007, 1:13am

Hello all,
Now I have a problem to start up a quadrature LC vco.  I tried to add initial condition (voltage=3.3v)at the node 1,as you can see from the figure attached.
I tried to edit the size of mos transistors, varactors, inductor, but did not work. Finally what the best I get is some triangle waveform, and the amplitude is several mv. evidently, this is not right.
So, what should I do to start up the qvco correctly, I mean, what is the steps? Should separate one vco for simulating half the qvco and at last combine the two as quadrature or just simulate together.
I am very appreciate if can get some tutorials for vco simulation.
Thank you very much.
