Cadence HED cannot elaborate
Oct 24th, 2007, 6:53am

Hello

I am trying to use Cadence hierarchy editor to perform mixed signal design. I was getting the following error when I tried to simulate a transistor:

The transistor is a PCELL call pmos50t and i used its schematic view which descends into a symbol view call MOS_50T. When I tried to elaborate the design, I got the following errors:

ncelab: *W,CUNOUN: Cannot find any unit under PRIMLIB.MOS_5T:symbol in the design libraries.
ncelab: *E,CUCFUN: instance 'M_subinst_01' of the unit 'MOS_5T' is unresolved in 'PRIMLIB.pmos50t:schematic'.

It seemed like the nc elaborator couldn't find the mapping file that tells it to simulate pmos50t (which has a model file) instead of MOS_50T? Thank you for your help, it is greatly appreciated.
