Step size of charge pump output!! Help
Oct 31st, 2007, 7:42am

I would like to ask anyone have the equation or know how to derive the equation for the step size of the charge pump output voltage??
Since the step of the output getting smaller when it reach the maximum value, so anyone know how to derive that?

Thank you

What about Ohm's law ? Smiley

A charge pump (see the name?) should deliver a specified current, not a voltage.

Hi Kim,

many kind of circuits are entitled as "charge pumps". You should therefore be more precise.
But I think you talk about a "voltage-boost" circuit. When you write down the equation for charge conservation
for the different phases (like in a SC-circuits), you should get the answer you are looking for...
