how to run spectre by netlist only
Dec 20th, 2007, 8:56pm

Dear all,

How can I run spectre/specreRF simlation by netlist only instead of the traditional way, i.e. capature a schematic, use ADE to generate a netlist and then run simulation?

Thanks

Hi Jason,

It is pretty easy. Just type spectre <netlist.scs> in your terminal. If the path is not set for spectre then you have to give the absolute path for spectre. One easy way to find the exact command that ADE runs when you press RUN+SIMULATION button is to go to the simulation directory (where all your simulation data get dumped) and look for the script runsimulation.

Hope, that helps.

Design is fun, verification is a requirement.
