VHDL-VITAL in Advance MS
Apr 06th, 2008, 2:04am

Hello everyone!

I have a problem with Mentor's Advance MS. I have an A/D converter which is described in VHDL-VITAL (it has signals type REAL). I want to simulate it in Advance MS but I can't seem to compile the my .vhd file using the vacom command. The compiler can't see some VITAL procedures like: VitalWireDelay, VitalSetupHoldCheck etc. The VITAL model uses IEEE library - vital_timing and vital_primitives. Compiling works in ModelSim (with VITAL Compliance option unchecked). What could be the cause of this?
Does anyone have experience with this simulator?
I have never used VHDL-AMS before.
Is there maybe some kind of incompatibility between VHDL_VITAL and VHDL-AMS?

VHDL-VITAL in Advance MS

The user manual for Advance MS states that VITAL is not directly supported by Advance MS but by ModelSim integration. ModelSim is integrated into AdvanceMS. My question is how do I use that integrated ModelSim?  :-/
Anyone? Please help.
