Hello,
I'm a student and somewhat new to the RF world and I could use some help.
I'm looking for RSSI only and I don't need to demodulate the audio signal I just want to see if the carrier is present at a frequency within 118.000 Mhz to 136.000 Mhz.
Presently I can do this with a SA604A FM IF chip and a tuned circuit on the antenna input. But it is a pain to change to another frequency. I have to retune the circuit every time and sometimes it takes a while.
Is there an easier way to check for a carrier at a desired frequency? Ex. 122.950 Mhz Is there a digital tuner that would be easier to see a carrier rather than having to manually retune a circuit?
Thanks, Rod
