The descrption of your problem is insuffufient for any investigation I'm afraid. I guess you are using AMS from HED, don't you ?
It would be helpful if you come with the error messages as they are dumped into the HED. The message you've posted is just the last one which actually not that helpful for debug ...
BTW, It would be great to mention your ius version as well:
UNIX> ncvlog -VERSION
