small question about using parameters in ADE analysis
Apr 03rd, 2009, 1:12am

Hi:

I am relatively new to the ADE environment since our simulation tool was a Hspice like one (which is integrated to cadence). I have used to give fully parameterized input to the simulator which would then ease the following parametric analysis.

As for ADE, I have a question about how to instantiate parameters instead of pure values in the analysis window. Say, for instance, when defining stop time for tran analysis, I want to use a parameter (e.g. tstop) instead of 100ns. Is it possible to do this in the GUI or I can only do it with a separate input file to feed spectre?

Thank you very much in advance!

Some fields you can directly enter design variable names, but some explicitly check that the field is numerical.

In those cases, if you're using IC61, you can put VAR("designVarName") in the field, and it will work...

Then you can specify the value in the list of variables.

Regards,

Andrew.
