AWD Calculator 'printvs' problem
Apr 04th, 2009, 7:03am

This all happens in Cadence with AWD as my waveform tool.

I have done Monte Carlo simulation (400 iterations) for my circuit so that i got 400 transient waveforms(voltage vs time).

I am trying to get the voltage value at specific time points of all these 400 waveforms, say from 1ns to 1000ns with a 1ns step.

The method I am using is to press "family" button in Calculator, then to select the waveforms and press "printvs", after I specify the range and step, it is supposed to give me a table listing the voltage values at these time points with every iteration. I have tried with two iterations, it works fine. But for 400 waveforms, it gives out nothing. I checked the error message, "*Error* hiGetFieldInfo: Cannot find field body in form awviPrintWindowForm1 "

Anyone has any idea how to solve this?
Thanks in advance.

Did you try using wavescan instead? The table output in wavescan is better than AWD... (you're probably hitting some hard limit).

Otherwise you could try using the OCEAN ocnPrint() function to print to a file.

Regards,

Andrew.

Andrew, thank you very much.
I will try the ways you suggested.
BTW, do you know where to find the equivalent function as printvs in WaveScan?

On the calculator, and in the results browser, there's a little icon that looks a bit like a table (in the calculator it's next to the icon for plotting a waveform).

Andrew.

My problem is solved by ocnPrint().
WaveScan can not work either.
Thanks again.
