Tools for Mixed-Mode Design Flow
Jan 29th, 2010, 3:03am

Hello,

What are necessary packages for Mixed-Mode Design Flow.
Am I right saying that one need in 3 packages:
1. IC610 (framework, capture, layout, elaborator, AMS Designer)
2. MMSIM 7.1 (all simulators - Spectre, ncsim, UltraSim)
3. Encounter (placement & routing)

Is there somewhere some tool for synthesis (like Synopsys DC Compiler).

What is  IUS 8.1? Is it replacement for IC610 & MMSIM 7.1.

Thanks in advance.

Pavel.

Pavel,

I think that AMS Designer is in the IUS release stream
and uses the MMSIM license. How about VDI for the digital
portion of flow?

                                                    Best Regards,

Hello Sheldon,

Thank you for answer.

So if one has IUS, he doesn't need IC610, ni MMSIM ?

What is VDI ? Tool for synthesis ?

Best Regards.

Pavel.

Pavel,

Just to clarify, my assumption was that you were asking for
what software you needed to install in order to run the tools
listed. In that case, you will also need to install IUS.

See the link for information on VDI .

BTW, why aren't you asking your Sales or support team for this
information?

                                                              Best Regards,

                                                                 Sheldon
