Scilab w/t verilog-AMS(for Cadence)
Nov 15th, 2010, 1:33am

Hi there.

Now i try to check behavior of digital filter
which made by function of Scilab.  http://www.scilab.org/

I had made analog signal by verilog-AMS for checking
behavior of this digital filter. So,this function is not verilog-D
 but function of Scilab.
At first, i want to try to this for third order IIR filter.

i want reduce tern around time to build and rebuild
verilog-D for checking this function till fixing algorithm of
 Sciliab function.

should i use MATLAB for these needs !?
but i've never use MATLAB...

plz give me some good advices for this way...

Sand Dolphin,

May not be exactly what you are looking for but if you use Virtuoso ViVA, look in File --> Export... in the file options there is the option
to dump the waveform in MATLAB format. If Scilab can read the file,
then you could directly input the results from the simulator to Scilab.
This should improve turn-around time for filter development.

NOTE: ViVA also supports *.csv

                                                                 Best Regards,

                                                                    Sheldon

just i want to know
Can cadence's AMSDesigner co-simulate w/t Scilab ?

Yes/No

if Yes, i want to know how to use this co-simulation
and what should i care for this..

if No, what should i do for the better way to co-simulate
before defining architecture of digital filter.
( before coding verilog-D )

and i'll check Scilab's function to read Cadence's output file for MATLAB.

anyone who have experience using Scilab on Cadence AMSD ?

Wink
