pdk/virtuoso schematic editor
Dec 05th, 2010, 3:15am

Hi,

The pdk I have doesn't seem to have the library that I could choose instance from under Virtuoso Schematic Editor, however, it does have SPICE model for both spectre and hspice simulator. Wonder if it's possible to create this such a library just for simulation purpose  ? (meaning to take advantage of graphic circuit editor than writing netlist file coz it's so difficult to check error purely based on netlist file)

Thanks,

Steve

Steve,

It is possible, how are you going to handle AS, AD, PS, PD, ... usually
these are derived from the L, W, and number of fingers when you
instantiate devices?

                                                             Best Regards,

I think for BSIM3v3 model, the as, ad, ps pd are automatically taken care through HDIF, LDIF parameters, so that shouldn't be an issue if the idea is realizable.
