PoleZero VS. AC analysis in Spectre
Apr 18th, 2011, 3:21pm

Hello all,

I am simulating a complex amplifier architecture, and I am interested in monitoring the pole zero locations using PoleZero analysis. I have a couple of questions w.r.t. Spectre analysis:

1. The dominant pole shown by AC, is missing in Pole Zero analysis. This is slightly strange because other high frequency poles are correctly reported

2. Is there any improvement in PZ analysis in various Spectre versions ? lets say from IC 5.1.41 to IC 6.14/6.15 ?

Looking forward for good answers.

CHeers !

Hi
Dont believe the pole zero analysis. i dont know which algorithm it uses, but it always gives poles & zeros at some random freq.
