drawing a slope line in cadence waveform viewer
Oct 09th, 2011, 11:42am

Hi,

I am using spectre in cadence IC 6. I am analysing a curve in waveformviewer which is initially linear and then is quadratic. I want to find the point at which transition occurs i.e. linear to quadratic . I want to draw a line superimposed on the initial linear curve and then find where it starts bending.

How can I draw a line of arbitrary slope in waveform viewer? Pls suggest a better solution if anybody has one.

Thanks Smiley

A workaround that maybe will work is to generate a signal in your testbench that have the correct slope. Use for example a vpulse source from analogLib.

Thank u rfidea! I am still looking for an alternative solution primarily for waveform analysis which the sw provides Smiley
